Often, quitting old habits could cause significant stress, as your body is pulled out of its regular routine. An easy way to trick your brain into faux-contentment is to replace the old habit with a substitute, healthy one, preventing idleness from weakening your resolve.

Seek support and encouragement, as they can prove to be the difference
Changing your habits is a difficult path and you're bound to stumble upon mental blocks that will seep your will to follow through with the changes.
