‘Hydrated skin is healthy skin’. 65 per cent of the human body is composed of water. It’s safe to say that the body’s water content needs to be replenished quite often. When you fail to drink enough water during the day, your body gets dehydrated. So, exactly how do you ensure that your body is getting enough water intake?

1) By drinking 2 liters of water every day.

2 L is equivalent to half a gallon of water. A great tip is that whenever you feel your lips starting to dry, you should drink a glass of water. Drinking ample water also helps in regulating your body temperature.

2) Eating fruits that have lots of water content.

Unlike artificial nutrients, fruits rejuvenate the body in the most natural way possible. Watermelon, cucumber and other fruits and vegetables make for tasty salads and hydrating agents too.

3) Exercising and working outdoors.

Whether it’s travelling or working outdoors or even working out, it makes the body sweat. This causes loss of water. To keep the body hydrated, you should drink enough water before exercising or heading outdoors. If you workout for long durations, you should opt for a sports drink as it replenishes the necessary nutrients in the body.

4) Don’t replace water with beverages.

Sodas are tasty and amazing to drink but they can’t replace water. Yes, they have water content but no, they can’t hydrate the body like water can. So even if you drink a can of soda with lunch, you should prefer to drink a glass of water before or after your meal as it is highly necessary in digesting the vitamins and nutrients that your body needs.
