Every person has his idea of cleansing. For some, it just means avoiding alcohol, sugar and processed food. Others, take this more seriously, avoiding all grains and even some fruits. The best way to do cleanse that lasts 5 or 7 days is very easy. The first thing you must do is to make a list, of things you must have. For example, many of you like coffee and dark chocolate. If drinking a tea in the morning, instead of coffee, makes you feel sad, try to find some other solution. Drink almond milk, it is a much better alternative. Basically, if you eliminate food and drinks that you like, from your life, cleanse will fail.

Diets and cleanses that includes only juice aren’t effective. Many people feel tired and cranky, so you need the whole food. This means you must include lean protein, besides a lot of vegetables. You also can replace grains that contain gluten with nutrients rich alternatives. Some of the best are potatoes, squash and wild rice. Without adequate carbohydrates, you cannot function properly. You can’t sleep and you will have problems concentrating. The best solution is to pay attention to whole food ( the right kind) and have regular portions.

Just like when you are exercising too much or don’t exercise at all, you don’t feel right, going from overeating directly to the strict cleanse won’t work. The much better solution is to always eat the recommended portions and eat healthy food. The goal is to make a clean eating lifestyle. If you are overeating often, this may be a symptom of some health problem.
