Increase of Organic Farming in India
The organic farming is gaining its ground all over the world, especially in the recent years. The main reason that people are having a craze towards organic farming is that they have started knowing the benefits of it.
In India, organic farming is already done on a fast and growing pace. As India is called the land of agriculture, the farmers here have started knowing the benefits of organic farming. Making traditional pesticides and fertilizers using the leaves of different trees and cow’s urine are successful organic farming products from India.
According to some recent reports, organic farming in India is growing at 20% per year. In other words, it can be said that Indian farming is traditionally organic because farmers always try to follow the organic cultivation method. The farmers generally produce improved seeds, fertilizers, pesticides etc. This is just due to the increase in demand for organic products in Indian market as well as international markets. Some organic products which are already produced in India and exported to international markets are tea, spices, fruits, vegetables, rice, coffee, wheat, pulses, and cotton and herbal products.
In the field of organic farming, the return for farmers is also good. They receive a fair return for their labor and the consumers also have their fresh food at a fair price label. In future, it is well hoped that organic farming can emerge as an important content for Indian agriculture as well as in the farming environment in India.
